1. My Hot Tub Jets Aren’t Working

We all know one of the best parts of being able to soak in a luxury hot tub is using the jets, having the force lightly caress your body as pressure relieves your bodies every ache, so when it comes to them not operating properly you start to feel like you’re in nothing more than a warm bath.

When you notice this start to happen, there is a couple of quick hot tub service checks that can be done by yourself at home. Start by turning each of your jets to make sure they are all wide open and take a look for any potential debris such as a calcium buildup, cleaning them if necessary.

Once you’ve had a look yourself and if you still find your hot tub jets aren’t operating optimally, you’ll most likely be in need of a professional touch to fulfil your hot tub repairs. Contact HotTub Assist on 0800 849 2468 now and a member of the team will assess the fault and assist you with all your hot tub repairs.

2. How Do I Get My Hot Tub Water Clear Again?

Every time you step foot in your luxury Blue Lagoon Spa’s hot tub, the waters should be crystal clear allowing you to see all the way through to the base. This unfortunately will not always be the case as an algae build-up or water contamination can cause your hot tub’s water to turn green or even black.

If you do find your hot tub water has turned dark, be sure to keep everyone out of the hot tub until full servicing has been provided as the contamination could cause illness to those who enter the hot tub.

Just as when you detect an odour in your hot tub, we’d recommend starting the hot tub servicing process by attempting to balance the pH levels, sanitising or shocking your hot tub water. If you find this does not work there is most likely corrosion in your pipes or another serious issue, an issue that a certified hot tub technician would have to resolve. With 25 years of experience in hot tub repairs, there aren’t many hot tub repair issues the HotTub Assist team aren’t experts in and will be sure to get your water sparkling once again.

3. How To Get Rid Of A Musty Hot Tub Odour?

While it is normal for a hot tub to carry a light odour of chemicals coming from the products used to clean the water, an identifiable musty odour should never be present and it is likely a sign of the water within your hot tub isn’t circulating properly or is contaminated.

Prior to any hot tub repairs, the first step to resolving this issue would always be checking the pH level of your hot tub’s water, a process that can be completed with no assistance if you have the required equipment to do so. These pH levels should be between 7.4 and 7.6 with total alkalinity between 100-120 parts per million and chlorine levels between 2-4 parts per million.

Once this has been checked and adjustments have been made, if the hot tub odour still persists, a certified hot tub technician will most likely be required. Your HotTub Assist technician will arrange a call-out date which they will then see to fully servicing your hot tub.

4. My Hot Tub Won’t Heat Up

Possibly the worst unexpected experience when it comes to owning a hot tub, climbing in for a lovely soak when you discover the water is cold. The first step should be checking the water to ascertain whether your water is staying cold or getting warmer and then cooling down.

Once you’ve checked to see whether your water is heating at all, it’s time to start with the basics such as checking your water level and looking for clogs within the circulation, these are the quickest checks to do and are found to more likely than not be the culprit.

If you’ve still got no heat, your hot tub could have a bad heating element, an issue we strongly encourage against checking yourself and one an experienced hot tub technician should take a look at. When travelling around the UK the HotTub Assist team will always carry most of the necessary parts for your HotSpring spa, ensuring you that when they arrive on the scene your hot tub will be warming you up in no time.
